California Fords Car Show Mustangs and my F-150

One of my Customers runs a Ford owners enthusiasts group in his spare time, California Fords.

I promised to be at his show on Saturday, so I drove over to UC Hayward and paid the $15 to enter my truck & get a really cool club T-Shirt.

PLEASE NOTE: most of these pics are click-able to get to full-res versions of the pictures.

  • There was a DJ spinning records
  • food stand
  • Raffle for care-care products and HorsePower rating services
  • 80 to 100 cars in the show
  • Awards were handed out for 1st, 2nd and third place in over 10 different categories.
  • Vendors, including an insurance agency sporting cute girls in tight tops trying to sell insurance. (works every time)

The highlights:
  • '73 Pinto, totally tricked out, huge engine under the tiny hood.
  • '2000 Ranger with no fewer than four LCD video screens showing the 'Transformers' movie. This pic is the 'theatre' This truck got my vote for 'Best in Show'
  • A personal favorite was the Thunderbird SC, or SuperCoupe. A T-Bird with a super-charged 3.8 liter engine. I drove one of these for a short ride back in High School and loved it.
  • Two mustangs with 'Gull-Wing' doors
  • The Steve McQueen 'Bullitt' mustang
  • The Batmobile 'Stang
  • The 'Spyder' 'Stang
  • Matts Dad' '36 Ford Pickup.
And there among the pimped-out trucks was my humble, totally understated 2004 F-150.

The Video playlist is a series of 7 clips I took during the show. the last segment is an interview with the man in charge, Matt Zimmermann.
