October 6th, Fleet week

Last weekend the Blue Angels were in town for the Annual 'Fleet Week' event.

They were flying six F-18s as well as a C-130 Hercules "Fat Albert"

My neighbor Kelly threw a combo Fleet Week/Rooftop & Birthday Party on Saturday. There were a ton of people in the roof & we all had a great time.

From our vantage point the jets were flying eye-level with us part of the time and then buzzing over our heads at low altitude.

One other treat: This year the USAF F-16 and P-51 Mustang will fly together commemorating United States Air Force air power through the ages.

Another random treat was seeing an Airbus a-380 take off right before my eyes as I was sitting at my desk in my home office. It was conducting test flights that happened to take it across the US to San Francisco.
