My friend Jen and I went to the last Warriors game of the 2007/2008 season. We had great seats and enjoyed a really competitive game.
The Warriors were out of contention for a spot in the playoffs. This was due to an extremely competitive Western Conference, where thte top 8 teams were within 3 games of each other in the standings. Jen and I enjoyed the game regardless.
I was excited to see my first non-Celtics NBA game and Jen had not been to a Warriors game in a couple of years.
From the Chronicle:
The Warriors closed out the 2007-08 season on Wednesday night with a 126-121 loss to the visiting Seattle SuperSonics at ORACLE Arena. Golden State finishes the year with a 48-34 record, marking its most successful regular season in 14 years. Monta Ellis had 24 points to lead the Warriors and Marco Belinelli electrified the home crowd with a career-high 17 points in the season finale, while Andris Biedrins collected his seventh-straight double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds. After the game, Fan Appreciation Night concluded with the players giving lucky fans the jerseys off of their backs.
